8 Modify Menus in Astra Theme in WordPress

This video shows how to modify a menu in WordPress

The Starter Template has already created a menu for you. We want to modify this menu to fit our needs.  

Here are the steps to modify a menus in the Astra Theme in WordPress:

1. Click on the Customize link to modify the menu.
2. Select Menus.
3. Click on Menu. Currently this menu which is also named “menu” is used as the primary menu which is what you see on the top right.
4. Let’s say we only need three pages for our menu. We want to remove the About page and Projects page. Expand the twisty of the both the About and Projects page and then click on Remove. Now both of the links are removed from the menu. To add a page to the menu, click on Add Items. Drag the new pages that you want to add back to the menu. You can also drag it under an existing menu to create a submenu.
5. Click on Publish to save the changes
6. Close the left side bar. The new menu is updated with only 3 pages and a submenu.
