9 Cleanup Unused Pages in WordPress

How to Cleanup Unused Pages in WordPress

This video shows you how to identify pages that are not used and can be removed from your page list in WordPress.

By default, WordPress has some pages created already.  The Starter Template also created additional pages. It’s a good practice to clean up the pages that you don’t need. it will keep the system clean and easy to maintain.

  1. Click on Pages to see all the pages.
  2. For the pages that we do not need, click on the Trash link underneath each page. The page will be placed in Trash bin. If you need to restore them, you can.
  3. Notice that we have two pages that name Home. We might not be sure which one is the one we want to delete. Right click on the View link to see each page first before you delete the one you don’t need.
  4. This Home page is the Astra default home page which is not from the Starter Template. So we know that the one that is not created by Elementor is the one that we will not be using. Therefore, we can remove it.
  5. Check the Sample page. We can remove the sample page as well.

Now the system is cleaned and only contain the pages that you need for the website. By keeping a clean system, it will be easy to maintain and it will also run a little faster as it will be lighter weight with less junk.
